Day 01 Arrival in Sri Lanka

You will be received at Colombo International Airport by a chauffeur guide. Afterward, you will be taken to the hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. You will check-in at the hotel in Negombo.

Day 02 Negombo - Mirissa

The breakfast will be served at the hotel. After that, you will check-out and proceed towards Mirissa passing through Bentota.

You will also visit Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, located in Sri Lanka. Tourists will catch a glimpse of five endangered sea turtle species on the shores of Sri Lanka. They will get to know how the Kosgoda Turtle Care Program helps in the protection of turtles until they hatch and increases the survival chances of their babies. Tourists can also touch and feed baby turtles, or the injured adult turtles, which are taken care of by the hatchery.

Afterward, you will visit the Galle Dutch Fort during the Galle city tour.

Galle is a major tourist destination in Sri Lanka. Tourists can explore the historic city on foot. Though the city has several Dutch colonial buildings, ancient religious shrines, huge mansions, and museums, the major highlight of the city is Galle Dutch Fort. Being a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it receives a large number of tourists from all over the world. You will take a stroll around the city and explore fancy restaurants and cafeterias. You will also pass through the beachside, which provides tourists with a soothing and calm experience.

You will visit the Galle Fort to know more about colonial history, its effect on people of the country, its evolution, etc. Later, you will continue moving towards Mirissa. After reaching the town, you will check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 03 Mirissa

After having breakfast, you will head towards Mirissa for whale watching.

The blue whale is found in abundance just off the coast of south Sri Lanka. It is impossible to view the largest creature on earth from proximity anywhere else in the world. During whale watching, the guide will tell you about blue whales, the marine lifestyle, the conservation of marine life, etc. It is important to note that snorkeling and swimming with whales are not allowed without prior permission.

Then, you will return to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 04 Mirissa - Udawalawe

You will leave for Udawalawe after having breakfast at the hotel.

Then, you will check-in at the hotel in Udawalawe. In the afternoon, you will go for a wildlife safari in Udawalawe National Park.

Situated on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces, Udawalawe National Park is a major tourist attraction in Sri Lanka. Featuring a significant population of water birds and Sri Lankan elephants, it is the third most-visited park in Sri Lanka.

Afterward, you will return to the hotel.

Day 05 Udawalawe - Ella - Nuwara Eliya

After having breakfast and checking out of the hotel, you will depart for Nuwara Eliya, en-route visiting Ella.

In Ella, you will visit the Little Adam’s Peak, which is a mountain in Sri Lanka, identical to the Adam’s Peak, the site where the footprint of Buddha is believed to be preserved). With 1141 of height, Little Adam’s Peak offers a beautiful view of the surroundings to tourists. Tourists can walk through sprawling tea plantations, gushing waterfalls, and paddy fields while admiring the natural beauty of the region.

Afterward, you will proceed towards the Nine Arch Bridge. The viaduct bridge represents one of the finest specimens of the colonial-era railway construction in Sri Lanka. The construction of the bridge is attributed to P. K. Appuhami (a local Ceylonese builder) in consultation with British engineers. Tourists from different parts of the world visit Sri Lanka to appreciate the architectural magnificence of the bridge and the lush greenery of the nearby hillsides.

At last, you will head towards Nuwara Eliya. After reaching the town, you will check-in at the hotel.

Day 06 Nuwara Eliya - Kandy

You will have breakfast at the hotel. Then, you will proceed to Kandy.

En route, you will visit a tea factory. During a visit to the factory, tourists will get to know how tea is cultivated, the processes it undergoes, etc. At last, you will also taste one or more types of tea in the factory.

Then, you will continue the journey for Kandy. You will check-in at the hotel in the city. In the afternoon, you will explore the major tourist spots of the town.

Kandy is another major tourist destination in the country, surrounded by mesmerizing landscapes. Also known as Maha Nuwara, the city has a lot to offer to tourists. One can explore the best on foot. Tourists will pass through Kandy Lake, catch a glimpse of the Temple of the Tooth, visit the British Garrison Cemetery, and get to know about interesting stories of the colonial residents. Tourists will also learn about the religious diversity of the country through visits to the church, kovil, and a mosque. You will stop at Empire Café for a short break. Afterward, you will take a stroll around the streets full of vendors and historical monuments. You will end the walking tour of Kandy in the market, which is majorly known for native fruits and vegetables.

Then, you will pay a visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa). Built by the Kandyan Kings in 1595, the temple contains the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha. Featuring intricate carvings representing the architectural values of the town, the Buddhist temple attracts a large number of white-clad pilgrims. The pilgrims offer prayers and lotus flowers while worshipping in the temple. The temple is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You will return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 07 Departure

After having breakfast, you will check-out of the hotel. Then, you will be dropped at the international airport to carry on with the further journey.
