Day 01 Jaipur

The Rajasthan Tour Package from Jaipur will begin from the ‘pink city’ - Jaipur. After reaching Jaipur, you will be dropped to your hotel. Jaipur, the largest city and the capital of the state, was founded by the king of Amer, Raja Jai Singh II on 18th November 1727. The enchanting beauty of the majestic Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Birla Mandir, and Jantar Mantar attract millions of tourists every year to this pink city. Day 02 Sightseeing in Jaipur

On the second day of your trip, you will get to explore the city of Jaipur at its best. In the morning, the first place you will visit is Amer Fort or Amer Palace, which is known to be the earlier capital of Jaipur. For your convenience, elephant rides (one way) can be arranged while ascending the fortress. Entirely constructed in red sandstone and marble by Raja Man Singh, Amer Fort has four different sections, each of which has a spacious courtyard. The mesmerizing and beautiful architectural design of the main entrance gate, Surajpol will surely charm you. You will then pay a visit to the temple of the Goddess Sila Devi, which is situated near the Ganesh Gate. Then, there are the Diwan-e-Aam or the hall of public audience, Diwan-e-Khas or the hall of private audience, Sheesh Mahal or the palace of mirrors, and Sukh Niwas, which truly worth a visit. The cascading water and the blowing breeze at Sukh Niwas will definitely refresh your mind and spirit.

Your next destination for the day will be Maharaja City Palace and Jantar Mantar (the observatory). Day 03 Jaipur to Mandawa

On the 3rd day of the Rajasthan travel Package from Jaipur, you will travel to Mandawa by road. Distance from Jaipur to Mandawa is 190 km. The grand and colorful forts and havelis ( mansions) in Mandawa make this place worth visiting. Shekhawati, established by the Shekhawat Rajputs, comprises of the districts of Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Charu, and a part of Nagaur and Jaipur. It is named after Rao Shekha. In this region, there are 50+ forts and palaces, most of which have been converted into heritage hotels for the tourists. The villages of Shekhawati are adorned with beautifully painted havelis (mansions). They are known to have the highest number of alfresco in the world. The wealthy Marwari merchants constructed many magnificent houses in this region and were considered an influential business community. However, in the 19th century, most of them left this place and migrated to larger cities far and wide for business prospects, leaving their families behind. After gaining immense success in business, these Marwaris built huge mansions in these villages,and not only that, they also engaged talented artists to paint the walls of these mansions that depicted their success and prosperity to the world.

This morning, you will set out for the Shekhawati villages like Mandawa, Dundlod, Nawalgarh, and many more. As per the history, Mandawa was founded by Thakur Nawal Singh in 1755. Various interesting items like canons from 1820, old costumes, ancient coins, and an assortment of armories that this place houses, will definitely capture your attention and interest.“The Open Art Gallery”, as this area is called, comprises of the picturesque villages of Shekhawati. The vibrant and colorful frescos painted by the artists depict mythological images of gods, goddesses, animals, and fables. Overnight is in the city of Mandawa.

Day 04 Mandawa to Bikaner

The day starts with a road trip to Bikaner. Bikaner, also known as the camel city, is surrounded by the Thar Desert. It is famous for its exquisite and magnificent forts, camel farms, and bazaars. This town was founded by Rao Bika in the fifteen century. The camel research farm is one of the famous tourist destinations as it is the largest research farm in Asia. Bikaner also hosts a number of fairs and festivals, among which the Camel Festival of Ladera Dunes and the Karni Mata Fair of Deshnoke are the most famous. On the pious occasion of AkkhaTeej, people from all over the world visit this place and fly kites.

After you arrive in Bikaner, you will be transferred to your hotel.

The afternoon trip consists of a visit to the rectangular Junagadh Fort, which is a huge complex of ornate buildings and halls. Originally known as Chintamani, this amazing 16th-century architectural wonder was built by Raja Jai Singh, a general-in-army of Mughal Emperor Akbar. It is one of the oldest forts of this state, which has been constructed on ground zero. This immensely beautiful ancient marvel is a perfect combination of Mughal and Rajput style of construction. The unique monuments inside the fort represent the 16 generations of rulers in Bikaner, starting from the late 16th century. This fort was later modified in the eighteenth century by Maharaja Dungar Singh, who added a western touch to the monument, thus adding to the beauty and grandeur of this place.

The fort boasts of thirty-seven pavilions, thick walls, thirty feet wide moat, a large number of balconies and designer windows, and seven gates. On one of the gates, the rays of the sun fall directly and hence, this gate has been named Suraj Pol. Another beautiful double gate of this fort is Chand Pol, which has a heart-winning architecture and design. Another grand doorway takes you to the ancient Joramal Temple, which has stunning interiors. Next comes the visit to HarMandir, a regal temple dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu. This temple was used by ancient kings and princes for celebrating marriage ceremonies and festivals.Overnight is in Bikaner.

Day 05 Bikaner to Jaisalmer

The trip from Bikaner to Jaisalmer will be via road. Known as the Golden city of India, Jaisalmer is situated in the Thar Desert. It is a colourful town of music, art, architecture, culture, and tradition. The yellow sands, camel safaris, awe-inspiring havelis, sky-rocketing palaces, and ornate Jain temples will awestruck you with their beauty. There is a certain air of mystery in this place. The rich heritage and serenity of the atmosphere will captivate your mind. Take a break from the chaos of the bustling city and find solace by camping under the night sky of the desert. Let the charm of this cultural city of sand enchant you and go on making such memories, which are going to stay with you, lifelong. On visiting this mirage-like golden sandstone city of Jaisalmer, you will certainly feel that an Arabian Night fable is unfolding in front of your eyes.

Day 06 Jaisalmer

The first trip of the morning will start with a visit to the Jaisalmer Fort. One of the oldest forts of the world, it has been constructed with yellow stones, and hence when viewed from a distance, it seems like the fort is made of gold. Due to this reason, it is also known as ‘Sonar Quila” Or “The Golden Fort”. What makes this fort unique is that it is one of the oldest living forts in the world. This 12th-century fort is situated right in the midst of sandy terrains. It is a unique piece of Indian architecture, with a blend of military designs. Inside the fort are the palaces of the Maharwals, where you can find ornamental designs of wooden carvings. Witness the architectural skills of the local craftsmen of that ancient period by paying a visit to the Tazia Tower, a five-storeyed tower inside the Jaisalmer Fort.

Next, you will be visiting some of the renowned mansions ( haveli). SalimJi Ki Haveli will be your first stop. This mansion is made up of yellow sandstone and the balconies are designed in different types of architecture. This mansion , till date, provides residence to a large number of people. Once upon a time, serving as a residence for the Mohta family for decades, the intricate roof carvings of this beautifully designed mansion are a treat to the eyes. The pillars of the mansion are adorned with beautiful ornaments of gold and silver, thus giving it a royal touch. Patwonki Haveli-another monument depicting an interesting piece of architecture is worth paying a visit, if you want to witness an embellishing cluster of 5 small mansion constructed in one place.

The evening session will consist of an excursion to the Sam Sand Dunes, at a distance of around 40 km from Jaisalmer. Be a part of the bounteous sand dunes flowing through the desert. Located in the Thar Desert, Sam Sand Dunes are an extension of the Saharan desert belt, which continues till the Gobi Desert in China. A camel safari can also be organized for you. Climb on the camel saddle and pave your way through the desert, to create a treasured experience. The sunset in the horizon is a sight, which cannot be missed at any cost. Day 07 Jaisalmer to Jodhpur

You will be taken to Jodhpur via road. The second largest city of this royal state, Jodhpur is popularly known as the Blue City or the Sun City. Jodhpur, the earlier capital of the Marwar kingdom is named after its founder Rao Jodha, who established the city in the year 1459. It was one of the important cities from the trade point of view as it lay between the route of Delhi to Gujarat and thus, served as a trading center of commodities such as opium, copper, silk etc. A city famous for its fairs. Jodhpur celebrates its famous festivals like Teej festival, Gangaur, Nag Panchmi, etc. with great splendor. Jodhpur has become one of the favorite locations for marriage ceremonies and movie settings. Do not forget to gorge on the Jodhpur sweets when you are visiting this city.

In the afternoon, a trip to the Meherangarh Fort is organized. It is not only one of the largest forts of this state but of India as well. This fort has been built on a low sandstone hill, which is at an altitude of just 120 meters. Though the thick walls of the fort may look looming, inside it are many beautiful temples and palaces. So impressive are the proportions of this fort that Rudyard Kipling has called it “A palace that might have been built by the Titans and colored by the morning suns”. There are many beautiful palaces inside the fortress, which have their separate identities because of the expansive courtyards and the intricate carvings. Do not forget to visit Moti Mahal- a beautiful Pearl Palace built by Raja Sur Singh, and the Phool Mahal - the palace of Flowers constructed as a private chamber of pleasure, by Maharaja Abhaya Singh.

Next is the visit to Jaswant Thada, a cenotaph, built in the year 1889 by Sardar Singh, in the loving memory of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The specialty of this structure is that it is made up of thin and polished marble sheets. As a result, when sunlight falls on it, the entire structure glitters. The next stop of the tour is the Umaid Public Gardens. Inside the garden are the Government Museum and the Umaid Bhawan Museum. These museums have many interesting artifacts on display. By watching these artifacts, you can learn a lot about the rich history of the place. The museum and the Palace were designed by Henry Vaughan Lanchester. Day 08 Traveling from Jodhpur to Mount Abu

On this day of the trip, we will take you from Jodhpur to Mount Abu by the roadway. It is said that in the ancient days, Mount Abu was known as Arbudaanchal or Arbudaranya and the name ‘Abu’ comes from these two names. It is the only hill station in the state of Rajasthan. The presence of water bodies and lush green forests gives it the name ‘oasis in the desert’. In Mount Abu, you will visit various lakes and temples and witness the matchless beauty of nature. This hill station is surrounded by the Aravalli Mountain Range and in its center lies the Nakki Lake, which makes it an even more popular tourist destination. The climate in Mount Abu is much cooler than the rest of the state. Overnight is in the city of oasis, Mount Abu.

Day 09 Visiting the hill city Mount Abu

One of the most important places to visit in Mount Abu is the centuries-old Dilwara Jain Temples. These temples were built between the 11th and 13th centuries AD by Vimal Shah and designed by the Jain ministers of Dholka – Vastupala-Tejpal. Dilwara consists of 5 marble temples and the detailed marble carvings on the ceilings, pillars, and doorways of these temples are stunning. You will conduct a thorough tour of the Dilwara Temples so that you can appease your eyes with the architectural beauty of the temples. Overnight is in the city of Mount Abu.

Day 10 Mount abu to Udaipur

A drive to Udaipur is arranged and on the way, you will be paying a visit to Ranakpur temples. The town, as well as the temple of Ranakpur, is named after the provincial ruler monarch, RanaKumbha. The Ranakpur temple honors Adinathji, the first Tirthankara, according to Jain cosmology. The temple, completely made of marble, stands out because of its distinctive domes, shikharas, turrets, and cupolas. The temple is designed as Chamukha - with four faces. The twenty halls and 1444 pillars of this temple will draw you towards themselves. The shades and lights of this place are such that you will experience a breathtaking view. If you have got extra time on your hand, you can also pay a visit to the nearby Surya Temple, which dates back to the 13th century and was rebuilt in the 15th century and the Jain Temple.

After the visit to the Ranakpur temples, the drive will continue till you reach Udaipur. Udaipur, the city of lakes, has been termed as the Venice of the East. Udaipur is known for its culture, history, exotic locales, and Rajput-era palaces. Founded by Rana Udai Singh in 1559, Udaipur was the historical capital of the Kingdom of Mewar. Udaipur is the birthplace of legendary Maharana Pratap, who fought against Emperor Akbar in 1576 and is remembered by all for his bravery. Maharana - the Hindi word for a great warrior, is the leader of all the Rajput clans. The title of Rana was awarded to the Prince of Mewar by the Parihara prince of Mandore in the 12th century. The rulers of this dynasty have Sun as their insignia and are called Suryavanshis or descendants of the Sun.

Day 11 Visiting the ‘City of Lakes’ Udaipur

This morning you will start with your day with visit to the City Palace, which is located on the east bank of Lake Pichola. The City Palace is a magnificent monument, which includes 11 palaces, courtyards, and lavish gardens. The construction started in 1559 AD by Maharana Udai Mirza Singh and it took around 400 years to build this palace complex. After visiting the City Palace, your next destination is Jagdish Temple, which was built by Maharana Jagat Singh. One of the biggest temples in Udaipur and completed in the year 1651, it is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe. Earlier, it was known as the temple of Jagannath Rai. The stunning Indo-Aryan architectural style of this shrine will mesmerize you. Next, you will enjoy a drive circling around the Fateh Sagar Lake. Constructed in 1678, this artificial lake is named after Maharana Fateh Singh, who constructed it. There are three small islands situated on the lake, which are popular tourist destinations.

One of the most famous museums of Udaipur, Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir, which is located near Chetak Circle, is your next destination. This museum houses a remarkable assortment of puppets, traditional attires, ornaments, paintings, folk musical instruments, masks, folk deities, and folk articles of Rajasthan. Next, you will visit Saheliyon-ki-Bari (Queen’s resort for her friends), which is your final visiting spot in Udaipur. It is also known as the Garden of the Maidens. Constructed by Rana Sangram Singh, it is a notable garden area, lavishly decorated with fountains, marble elephants, a lotus pool, and kiosks and houses a small museum as well.

Next comes the much-awaited boat ride on Lake Pichola. Nothing seems to be more enjoyable than a joyful boat cruise on Lake Pichola, which is 4 km long and 3 km broad and created in 1362 AD. The lake is named after the Picholi Village, located nearby. This artificial, crystal clear freshwater lake is surrounded by mighty hills, glorious palaces, resplendent temples, bathing ghats, and embankments - all these make a picturesque sight to behold. At the center of the lake is the island palace Jag Niwas, which you will visit next. Overnight is in the city of lakes, Udaipur.

Day 12 Moving from Udaipur to Chittorgarh

Today, you will travel to the imperial city of Chittorgarh by road and spend the day exploring this historic city of the valiant Rajputs. This ancient city is situated on the banks of the rivers, Berach and Gambhiri. It is known to be the former capital of the Sisodia Rajput Dynasty of Mewar. As per history, Chittorgarh was built by the rulers of the Maurya Dynasty, who ended their reign in 271 BC. As stated on the ancient coins, this city was renamed as Chitrakut after a courageous Rajput chief, Chitrangada Mori. The major tourist attraction of this city, the Chittaurgarh Fort or the Chittor Fort is the largest fortress in India and Asia, and many historically significant battles were fought with the aim of possessing this glorious fort. Rajputs were known for their valiance, pride, romance, and spirit and they preferred death over surrendering before the foreign invaders and Chittorgarh is the true embodiment of the same. This city witnessed many battles and bloodshed and three times it was under siege of various rulers. Every time, the Rajputs fought courageously and at the end of every battle, the Rajput ladies and children sacrificed their lives in the fire of Jauhar, which was primarily led by the beautiful and fearless Rani Padmini and later by Rani Karnavati. This land is also well-known for the devotee of Lord Krishna, Meera Bai.

While touring Chittaurgarh, also known as Chittorgarh, you will visit the ancient fort, which is said to have been built by one of the five Pandava brothers, Bhima. Next on your list of destinations comes the famous Vijay Stambhor the Tower of Victory, which was built by the king of Mewar, Maharaja Kumbhain the year 1440. He defeated the Muslim rulers of Gujarat and Malwa and built this tower to mark his glorious victory. This tower, related to numerous historical legends, ideally represents the Rajput style of architecture and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This 9 storied structure has an imposing height of about 37 meters and is built of red sandstone and white marbles.

The exquisite sculptures of Hindu Gods and images associated with the stories from the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata embellish the walls of the fort. You will also be visiting the 12th century tower,Kriti Stambhor the Tower of Fame. Dedicated to Jain Tirthankaraand Digambaraand adorned with splendid Jain sculptures from inside and outside, this 22-meter high tower was constructed by a Jain merchant, Jeeja Bhagerwala to spread the glory of Jainism. While visiting this grand monument, you will come to know more about the bygone era. Built during the medieval period, it is needless to say that this tower is one of the most prominent structures in Chittorgarh. Overnight is in Chittorgarh.

Day 13 Chittorgarh to Bundi

From Chittorgarh, you will reach Bundi by road on the 13th day of your trip. It is a small town located in the Hadoti region. Bundi is worth visiting for its splendid palaces, forts, and more than 50 baoris (stepwell water reservoirs). Bundi is named after a tribe man, whose name was BundaMeena. This place is also known as ‘Chhoti Kashi’ because of the large number of temples it has. It is surrounded by the Aravalli hills on the three sides and encircling the city is a wall with four gateways.The places of importance in Bundi are – Bijasan Mata and Kamleshwar Temples and the Indergarh step well. The Bijasan Mata Temple was built around 2000 years ago by a great devotee of Goddess Durga, Kamal Nath. Overnight is in Bundi.

Day 14 Tour of Bundi

On the 14th day, you will conduct a tour of Bundi. The city is adorned with rows of terraced gardens and colorful, arched Rajput houses, which make the landscape no less than a beautiful painting. A major attraction in Bundi is the Bundi Palace or City Palace, which you will visit next. The resplendent palace, located near Taragarh Fort, was built between 1607 AD and 1631 AD by Rao Raja Ratan Singh Hada. The Palace has intricate spy-holes, underground passages, and secret trapdoors, which make it an interesting and exciting place to visit. There are massive elephant structures built at the entrance of the palace. Located near the Palace are the ‘PhoolMahal’ and ‘BadalMahal’. The remarkable and ingenious water supply system is a spectacular sight. Overnight is in Bundi.

Day 15 Travel from Bundi to Pushkar and sightseeing

After completing the breakfast, you will be taken to the town of Pushkar, also known as the desert oasis and the journey will take 6 hours by road.

After reaching Pushkar, you will get the opportunity to explore this beautiful town, which is situated on the shore of holy Pushkar Lake in the Ajmer district and borders the Thar Desert. The Pushkar Lake has many ghats for the pilgrims to bathe. Pushkar is considered one of the most sacred and notable pilgrimage sites for Hindus in India. This is a centuries-old town, which is home to many ancient temples including the Jagat pita Brahma Mandir, the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe. This temple was built in the 14th century. Overnight is in the holy city of Pushkar.

Day 16 Pushkar to Ranthambore

On this day, you will drive from Pushkar to Ranthambore National Park. It is a large national park, home to a large species of animals, situated near the town of Sawai Madhopur. It got its name from the Ranthambore Fort, which was built in the 10th century AD and located on a hilltop in the national park. In the earlier days, it served as a royal hunting ground. The park is mostly known for its Royal Bengal Tigers and boasts on its huge tiger population. Here, you can easily experience the excitement of seeing tigers, which is not that easily witnessed in the other parks. Other than tigers, various other animals are there in Ranthambore National Park and they are – Indian leopard, wild boar, sloth bear, sambar, nilgai, striped hyena, chital, spotted dear, etc. There are a number of lakes that adorn the park and in these lakes, you will find many marsh crocodiles and lizards sprawling and enjoying the warmth of the sun. Day 17 An unforgettable excursion of Ranthambore

The entire morning and evening, you will spend exploring the vast national park and viewing the wildlife. The Ranthambore Game Sanctuary hosts more than 270 species of beautiful birds, 500 species of plants, varieties of trees, and reptiles, watching which, is a treat for the eyes. Also, there is a beautiful lake in the park, named Padam Talao, known for its large number of water lilies that grow in the lake. It is the largest lake in the national park and you will find the second largest banyan tree in India near the lake. To protect the environment and the flora and fauna from the pollution, very few vehicles are allowed inside the forest of Ranthambore and thus, if you need a vehicle for a ride through the jungle, you will have to book well in advance. Here, you can get two vehicle options – open top canter vehicles, which have a capacity of 20 passengers or open top vans, having a capacity of up to 6 people. Next, you can pay a visit to the ancient Ranthambore Fort, which is situated at a height of 700 feet above the ground. It is one of the hill forts in Rajasthan and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are temples inside the fort, devoted to Lords Ganesh, Shiva, Ramlalaji, Sumatinath, and Sambhavanath, which you can visit. Overnight is in Ranthambore.

Day 18 Ranthambore to Bharatpur

The 18th day of the Rajasthan vacation Package from Jaipur will include a visit to Bharatpur, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Yadavs, the descendants of Krishna, were the rulers of Bharatpur. There is one more tribe of Bharatpur, known as the Jat tribe, which was notoriously famous. They dug up the tomb of Akbar and cremated his remains, according to Hindu tradition.

If you are a bird lover, then a treat is awaiting you. You will be taken to the Keoladeo Ghana National Park. The name “Keoladeo” is because of the presence of an ancient Shiva Hindu temple in the park and the Hindi word “Ghana’ means dense, thick forest and hence, the national park has been named so. The park has become a habitat for more than hundreds of worldwide bird species. The count of the bird species has crossed 350, examples of which include cormorants, Siberian Cranes, egrets, white ibis, spoonbill, white-necked and black-necked stork, duck, purple and grey herons, etc. There are also many ducks and predatory birds like red-crested pochard, steppe and tawny eagle, common teal, imperial eagle, spotted eagle, mallard, etc. Some of the animal species include Golden Jackal, Wild Boar, Nilgai, Blackbuck, and reptiles like pythons.

Day 19 Bharatpur to Jaipur
