Jaipur is the capital and the largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan. Jaipur is also known as the Pink City due to the dominant color scheme of its buildings. Jaipur is a popular tourist destination in India and forms a part of the west Golden Triangle tourist circuit along with Delhi and Agra. Jaipur is the home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites – the Jantar Mantar and the Amer Fort.

After having your breakfast, start for your full day tour of Jaipur starting with a visit to Amer Fort – the former capital of the state of Jaipur. Also known as Amer Palace, the outstanding piece of architecture was built in red sand and marble by Raja Mann Singh. The palace is divided into four sections each with a patio. Suraj pol is the main entrance door which has a magnificent architecture to stare at. There is a temple of god Ganesha near the gate.

The other places include Diwan-e-Aam (Hall of public audience), Diwan-e-Khas (Hall of private audience), Sheesh Mahal - palace of mirrors and Sukh Niwas which are all equally captivating to the eyes. Sukh Niwas exhibits a unique phenomenon where a cool climate is artificially created by winds that blow over a water cascade inside the palace.

Up next, you will be taken to the City Palace of the King which is a royal palace with seven floors and perfectly blends Mughal, Rajput and European styles. The palace has seven floors and an observatory Jantar Mantar, which had always attracted the mathematicians as well as astronomers from across the world.

On the way, you will drive past by Hawa Mahal (palace of wind) with its unique five-floor exterior that looks like honeycomb of a beehive with its 953 small windows called jharokhas decorated with intricate latticework. You will also pass by the Jaipur business center.

The city trip to Jaipur will not be complete without shopping. The city is famous for clothing, carpets, precious stones, semi-precious, jewelry, crafts made of wood, metal and silk paintings and miniatures. Overnight is in the pink city, Jaipur.

This day, get transferred to Jodhpur by road from Jaipur. Check-in to your hotel after reaching the city.

Jodhpur, also known as the Blue City or the Sun City is the second largest city of Rajasthan and it was formerly the seat of a princely state of the same name. Jodhpur is a popular tourist destination, featuring many palaces, forts and temples, set in the stark landscape of the Thar Desert. The old city circles the fort and is bounded by a wall with several gates. However, the city has expanded greatly outside the wall over the past several decades.

Jodhpur is quite known for its festivals and fairs and Gangaur, Teej, Nag Panchmi, etc are celebrated with a big pomp. Jodhpur has become an important center for big weddings and also for movie settings. The Jodhpur sweets are quite known throughout India.

In the afternoon, you will be taken to the Meherangarh fort, one of the largest forts in India. Built in around 1460 by Rao Jodha, the fort is situated 410 feet (125 m) above the city and is enclosed by imposing thick walls. Inside its boundaries there are several palaces known for their intricate carvings and expansive courtyards. The museum in the Mehrangarh fort is one of the most well-stocked museums in Rajasthan.

Moti Mahal - the Pearl Palace, is one of the beautiful palaces situated in the fort and was built by Raja Sur Singh. Later you will be taken to Phool Mahal - the Palace of Flowers, built by Maharaja Abhaya Singh, and believed to be an exclusive and private chamber of pleasure.

Later you will be taken to visit Jaswant Thada, a cenotaph built by Maharaja Sardar Singh of Jodhpur State in 1899 in memory of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, and serves as the cremation ground for the royal family of Marwar. The mausoleum is built out of intricately carved sheets of marble. These sheets are extremely thin and polished so that they emit a warm glow when illuminated by the sun.

The city tour would roll in with the next spot being Umaid Bhawan Palace – one of the world’s largest private residences. The palace has 347 rooms and is the principal residence of the former Jodhpur royal family. A part of the palace is a museum - with a vast collection of artifacts displaying rich history of region. This morning after breakfast, you will be driven to Mount Abu by road. On arrival get transferred to your hotel. Mount Abu was earlier known as Arbudaanchal or Arbudaranya and Abu is a diminutive of these names. Mount Abu, at an elevation of 1,220 m (4,003 ft), is the only hill station of Rajasthan and is called the ‘oasis of the desert’ as its heights are home to rivers, lakes, waterfalls and evergreen forests.It has been a popular retreat from the heat of Rajasthan and neighboring state of Gujarat for centuries.

The place is home to several Hindu temples, forts and a wildlife sanctuary. Mt Abu is famous for its beautiful Dilwara Jain Temples constructed of marble. The afternoon is at leisure.

Overnight stay in Mount Abu.

After your breakfast, you will head out for your morning tour to Mount Abu. The day tour mainly covers various Hindu temples. The Adhar Devi Temple (also known as Arbuda Devi Temple) carved out of solid rock; the Shri Raghunathji Temple; and a shrine and temple to Dattatreya built atop the Guru Shikhar peak and a number of Jain temples including Dilwara Temples, a complex of temples carved of white marble built between the 11th and 13th centuries CE are few of the most prominent temples of Mount Abu. The oldest of these is the Vimal Vasahi temple, built in 1021 CE by Vimal Shah and dedicated to the first of the Jain Tirthankaras. They include the Achaleswar Mahadev Temple (1412) and the Kantinath Temple (1513). It is the location of the headquarters of the Brahma Kumaris.

The Achalgarh Fort, built in the 14th century by Kumbha of Mewar, is nearby and at its center is the popular visitor attraction of the Nakki Lake. The Toad Rock is on a hill near the lake. Close to the fort is the Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple, a popular Shiva temple.The Durga Ambika Mata Temple lies in a cleft of rock in Jagat, just outside Mount Abu town.

Just after finishing your breakfast, you will be driven to Udaipur, visiting Ranakpur Temples on the way. Ranakpur Jain Temple dates back to the 15th century and is dedicated to Tirthankara Rishabhanatha. The popular Chamukha temple of Ranakpur made of marble is dedicated to Adinathji the first Tirthankara - of the present half-cycle (avasarpiṇī) according to Jain cosmology. It is composed of more than twenty halls and 1444 pillars which are not similar. The shade and lights of this place is really outstanding and is a real treat to one's eyes. The Ranakpur temple is one of the largest and most important temples of Jain culture. The campus includes various temples such as Chaumukha temple, Sun temple, Parsavanth temple and Amba temple. You might be taken to visit the Sun Temple and the Jain Temple if time permits.

Reach Udaipur – also known as the City of Lakes, or the Venice of the East, and get transferred to the hotel. Udaipur is the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar in the former Rajputana Agency. It was founded in 1558 by Maharana Udai Singh II of the Sisodia clan of Rajput, when he moved his capital from the city of Chittorgarh to Udaipur after Chittorgarh was besieged by Akbar.

Udaipur is a popular tourist destination and is known for its history, culture, scenic locations and the Rajput-era palaces. It is popularly known as the "City of Lakes" because of its sophisticated lake system. It has seven lakes surrounding the city. Besides lakes, Udaipur is also popular for its massive historic forts and palaces, museums, galleries, natural locations and gardens, architectural temples, as well as traditional fairs, festivals and structures. Overnight is in the city of lakes, Udaipur.

Have your breakfast and start off for your morning trip to Udaipur city. The majestic City Palace situated on the bank of Pichola Lake is the first spot you would be visiting. The City Palace is a palace complex which was built over a period of nearly 400 years, with contributions from several rulers of the Mewar dynasty. Its construction began in 1553, started by MaharanaUdai Singh II of the Sisodia Rajput family as he moved his capital from the erstwhile Chittor to the new found city of Udaipur.

The City Palace displays flamboyant style of construction and is considered the largest of its type in Rajasthan. It is situated on hilltop with a perfect fusion of Rajasthan and Mughal architectural styles and offering an amazing panoramic view of the city and its surroundings.

Your next spot is the Jagdish Temple, a large Hindu temple just outside the City Palace. It is a big tourist attraction which has been consistently in worship since 1651. The architecture of this temple is based on Indo-Aryan style and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is one of the biggest shrines of Udaipur. You will be taken for a drive around the Fatehsagar Lake, built in 1678 by MaharanaFateh Singh.

Next spot you will be taken to - is Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal, a cultural institution that exhibits and promotes studying folk art, culture, songs and festivals of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh and to popularize and propagate folk arts, folk dances and folk literature. It was set up in 1952 by Devilal Samar. The institution has a museum that exhibits collection of folk articles from Rajasthan like rural-dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls, folk musical instruments, folk deities and paintings. There is puppet theater (Kathputli) too where puppet shows are held at regular intervals.

Saheliyonki Bari (Courtyard or Garden of the Maidens) is the last destination for the day. It is a major garden and a popular tourist place with fountains and kiosks, a lotus pool and marble elephants. It was built by Rana Sangram Singh. There is also a small museum here.

In the evening you can enjoy the city and its vibes by opting for a boat ride on Lake Pichola. The boat cruise on Pichola Lake is surrounded by splendid hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats and embankments. There is a beautiful island palace Jag Niwas in the lake. Return to the hotel to spend the night in the city of lakes, Udaipur.

Get transferred to Ajmer by road. Ajmer is one of the major and oldest cities of Rajasthan and is surrounded by the Aravalli Mountains. Ajmer is one of the major pilgrimage centers for the Muslims for the famous Ajmer Sharif Dargah. It is a shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti which is situated at the foot of the Taragarh hill. It has several white marble buildings arranged around two courtyards, including a massive gate donated by the Nizam of Hyderabad, and the Akbari Mosque, built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.

Ajmer is also famous for the majestic and the oldest hill fort in India - Taragarh Fort built by King Ajay pal Chauhan on the summit of Taragarh Hill and overlooks Ajmer. It stands, with precipitous surroundings, at a height of 2,855 ft. above sea-level, and between 1,300 and 1,400 ft. above the valley at its base. It is partially enclosed by a wall some 20 feet thick and as many high, built of huge blocks of stone, cut and squared and are about two miles (3 km) in circumference.

You will also be taken to the Tomb of Sufi Saint, Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti and the Dargah Sharif. And the last destination for the day - Adhai Din KaJhonpra – a mosque which was completed in 1199 BC. Come back to the hotel for overnight stay in Ajmer.
