Day 01 Arrival at Delhi

A riveting experience awaits you when you touch down in Delhi, and Services International Lufthansa City Center staff will be on the ground to receive and take you to the hotel. The itinerary takes full effect from the following morning covering Old Delhi. The sightseeing starts with Raj Ghat; this location boasts of the cremation of Mahatma Gandhi (regarded as the father of India). You’ll have a chance to see the iconic Red Fort, including Chandni Chowk, built by Shah Jahan.

The largest Minaret, built by Turk ruler Qutub-Ud-Din Aibak will be visited in the afternoon. Another site worth seeing is the Humayun’s tomb—also a UNESCO world heritage. As a way to honor fallen soldiers, India Gate was erected. The final destination is Lakshmi Narayan temple. You’ll stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi

Day 02 235 km Drive from Delhi to Mandawa

You’ll go by road on a 235 km drive from Delhi to Mandawa. The day’s activities and tour for sightseeing will be in the Shekhawati villages-- Mandawa, Nawalgarh, Dundlod, etc. You’ll see beautiful frescoes, great mansions and havelis. Shekhawati villages are called “The Open Art Gallery” for the same reason. Thakur Nawal Singh founded Mandawa in 1755 and it houses a collection of armories, canon, old costumes from 1820, ancient coins and other exciting items. You’ll stay overnight in a hotel in Mandawa or any other village of Shekhawati.

Day 03 188km Drive from Mandawa to Bikaner

The tour takes you on a 188km drive from Mandawa to Bikaner in the morning hours. Later in the afternoon, the sightseeing begins in Bikaner to see 16th century rectangular Junagadh Fort, with thirty seven pavilions, thirty feet wide moat, thick wall, large number of balconies, including designer windows. It also has seven gates and with one of them being Suraj pol is named typically because sun rays fall directly on the gate. Other places of visit are Chand pol, the joramol temple, the Har Mandir temple. You will stay overnight at the hotel in Bikaner.

Day 04 331km Drive from Bikaner to Jaisalmer

On this day, you’ll go on a 331 km drive from Bikaner to Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer portrays a colorful blend of art, music, architecture, culture, and tradition. You’ll marvel at the camels, the yellow sand, beautiful havelis, the imposing palaces and many more. Visit the bazaars in the afternoon. You will stay overnight in an hotel in Jaisalmer

Day 05 Jaisalmer City Tour

The itinerary begins with a trip to Jaisalmer Fort in the morning. You get a feeling as if it was made of gold when you sight it from afar; little wonder they call it “Sonar Quila” or "The Golden Fort". Visit the Salim Ji Ki Havelis, Patwon ki Haveli, and Jain Temples later in the afternoon. You’ll stay overnight in a hotel in Jaisalmer.

Day 06 285 km Drive from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur

In the morning hours, the journey to Jodhpur begins. This city happens to be the second largest in Rajasthan and the former capital of Marwar kingdom. The tour continues in the afternoon with a visit to Mehrangarh Fort (regarded as one of the largest forts in the whole of India). Visit the Moti Mahal (known as the Pearl Palace), Palace of Flowers, JaswantThada, Umaid Public Garden and the Government Museum. You’ll stay overnight in Jodhpur.

Day 07 255 km Drive from Jodhpur Ranakpur to Udaipur

Today you will drive to Udaipur visiting Ranakpur Temples enroute. Visit the beautiful Jain Temples of Ranakpur from 15th century. The popular Chamukha temple of Ranakpur made of marble is dedicated to Adinath Ji the first Tirthankara. It is composed of more than twenty halls and 1444 pillars which are not similar. The shade and lights of this place are really outstanding and are a real treat to your eyes. If time permits, you could also visit the Surya Temple and the Jain Temple.

Udaipur known as the City of Lakes, or the Venice of the East was the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar and founded by Rana Udai Singh in 1559. The legendary Maharana Pratap was born in Udaipur who fought against Emperor Akbar in 1576 and is remembered for his bravery. Maharana means the Great Warrior, and the one from Udaipur is the head of all the Rajput clans. In the 12th century the Parihara prince of Mandore awarded the title of Rana to the Prince of Mewar. The rulers from this dynasty are called Suryavanshis (descendents of the Sun) and have the Sun as their insignia. Overnight at a hotel in Udaipur.

Day 08 Udaipur City Tour

The tour kick-starts in the morning in the City Palace which is located right on the bank of Pichola Lake. Sightseeing continues at Jagdish Temple---one of the biggest shrines in Udaipur-- Fatehsagar Lake, BhartiyaLok Kala Mandir near Chetak Circle, and Sahelionki Bari. In the afternoon, you will go on a discovery mission to visit the various bazaars. You’ll stay overnight in a hotel in Udaipur.

Day 09 320 km Drive from Udaipur to Pushkar

The Rajasthan Heritage Tour begins in the morning by road from Udaipur to Pushkar. In the afternoon hours, you’ll visit Pushkar, where Hindus converge for pilgrimages, and it is also known to be one of the oldest cities in India. A lake was formed out of the lotus petal that fell in Pushkar where a sacrifice was performed on a full moon day. You’ll stay overnight in Pusher in a hotel.

Day 10 143 km Drive from Pushkar to Jaipur

In the morning, you’ll visit Jaipur, which is also known as the Pink City and the capital of Rajasthan. Jaipur dated back to 260 years, built by Maharaja Jai Singh and Jaipur derived its name through the king. Enjoy the rest of the day visiting the colorful bazaars of Jaipur when sightseeing is over.

You’ll visit the Amer Fort, the then capital of Jaipur and you’ll get to see it as you start the tour. The entrance has an enticing architecture and is called Surajpol. Visit the public and private hall of audience and palace of mirrors, The Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khas and Sheesh Mahal respectively which are beauties to behold. Enjoy the lovely climate created by winds blowing over a water cascade

Take the sightseeing adventure to Maharaja City Palace consisting of seven stories and an observatory known as Jantar Mantar. The world’s mathematicians and astronomers converge here. Visit the Hawa Mahal palace for its popularity and be soaked in its awesomeness through its astounding architecture. The tour continues through the Pink Rose city, including the business centers of Jaipur. The final part of today’s tour would be spent shopping where you have access to various kinds of clothes, carpets, precious, even semi-precious stones and jewelry and different kinds of handicrafts made of wood, metal, etc. Silk paintings and miniatures are also sold here. You’ll stay overnight in Jaipur in a hotel.

Day 11 244 km Drive from Jaipur to Fatehpur Sikri to Agra

In the early hours of the morning, your tour in India continues and moves to Agra from Jaipur en route the visitation to Fatehpur Sikri-- built in the 16th century by Emperor Akbar. Fatehpur Sikri is a known UNESCO World Heritage site and is responsible for Mughal civilization and boost for several historical monuments. You’ll have the opportunity to pay a visit to the following spots; Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal (five-story building), including the breathtaking architecture called Buland Darwaza. It is a three-arched entrance that is a central portico and famously known as Horseshoe gate. Another building within this vicinity is Ibadat Khana, Naubat Khana, Mariam-uz-Zamani's palace, and Birbal's house. The journey to Agra will be embarked upon later on in the day.

Your tour continues in the afternoon with a visit to Agra. Here you have the opportunity to see the Taj Mahal, an iconic structure that counts among the earth’s wonders. Using white marble, Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan takes credit to have erected this gigantic edifice between the year 1631 and 1648. It was in the memory of his Queen Mumtaz Mahal. This gigantic structure is likened to love and romance and stands tall on the banks of the Yamuna River.

The next port of call on your tour with Rajasthan and Heritage is a visit to Agra Fort and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site; built in the 16th century during Mughal Empire and known for its architectural masterpiece. The presence of fairy tale palaces will thrill you, for example, Khas Mahal and Jahangir Palace. You will also have the opportunity to see Diwan-e-Aam and Diwan-e-Khas, which respectively are private and public audience halls. Agra is characteristically known for inlaid marble work and marble handicrafts—even wood and metal. You’ll stay over in Agra. The Taj Mahal is not open on Fridays.

Day 12 231 km Drive from Agra to Delhi

The journey from Agra to Delhi airport begins to catch your return flight to your destination after a wonderful experience. We would expect that at this juncture you have truly had a rewarding experience with Rajasthan and Heritage and received value for money well spent. Note that most flights depart after midnight so Delhi accommodation is excluded in the tour package.

Day 13 Departure
