Day 01 Guwahati to Shillong (120 km – 3 hours)

Welcome to India! Our representative would receive you at Guwahati airport or the railway station. You will be driven to Shillong, also known as “the Scotland of the east”. Reach Shillong and get transferred to your hotel for checking-in.

Shillong is among the most popular hill stations in the northeastern part of India, and is situated at an altitude of 1491 m above sea level. It is among the very few pollution-free places of India with a soothing climate throughout the year. Shillong happens to be the only hill station in India that is accessible from all sides.

Your day is at leisure that you may spend checking out the nearby markets or trying out the local delicacies. The eastern side of India is one of the few places that is full of nature and most of it is yet to be discovered and seen by tourists. It is not only popular for its beautiful picturesque landscapes, but also for its humble culture. Overnight in Shillong.

Day 02 Shillong – Cherrapunjee sightseeing (58 km one way)

Have your breakfast and fasten your seatbelts for a day excursion to Cherrapunjee which is also known as the “Wettest Place on Earth”. You will be taken to Limestone Cave, Waterfalls - Nohsngithiang Falls, Dainthlen Falls, Nohkailikai Falls (world’s fourth highest), covering Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls on the way.

Limestone caves or Mawsmai Caves is no ordinary place in the earth. As beautiful and magical it can be, the caves are the best crowd puller that leaves the tourists speechless. A stretch of 150 mts into the dark, damp and uber adventurous route, the caves are full of stalagmites and stalactites that form innumerous shapes and sizes inside the cave. These amazingly magical natural wonder is formed after years of natural abrasion and underground water.

The waterfalls are among the main attractions of Cherrapunjee that are different from each other in size, height and width.

Shillong Peak is an ideal picnic spot located 1965 m above sea level offering a beautiful panoramic view of nature. It happens to be the highest point in the state. A sight in the evening is a pure delight when the city lights below appear like a star-studded abyss. Elephant Falls located 12 km on the outskirts of the city is another major tourist puller where the mountain stream descends through two successive falls set in dells of fern-covered rocks.

Come back to Shillong for overnight stay.

Day 03 Shillong to Kaziranga National Park (250 km 7 hours)

Have your breakfast and leave for Kaziranga National park, a World Heritage Site by road. This wildlife reserve has two-thirds of the world's total population of one-horned rhinoceros along with several other animals. After reaching the national park, you will be completing the check-in formalities at the lodge. The afternoon is fixed for a visit to the tea gardens where you can enjoy the views of lush green surroundings. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 04 Kaziranga sightseeing

The entire day is fixed for a wildlife safari of the national park. After having breakfast, you will spot the Great Indian Rhinoceros together with other animals of the park and in the afternoon, you can enjoy a jeep safari inside the park. Return to the lodge for overnight stay.

Day 05 Kaziranga to Guwahati (217 km 4.5 hours)

You will be transferred to Guwahati right after your breakfast at Kaziranga. On arrival, check-in to your hotel. The day is at leisure or at your own. You may explore the nearby places for shopping or to try the local delicacies.

In the evening, you will enjoy a river cruise in the Brahmaputra. Enjoy the cruise to historic palaces, forts and temples, and peek a glimpse into the daily lives of the tribes whose lifestyle and living date centuries back.

Come back to hotel in Guwahati for overnight stay.

Day 06 Guwahati – Airport/Railway Station

This morning, before the trip ends, take a visit to Kamakhya Temple – a Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Kamakhya. Considered as one of the 51 Shakti Pithas, it is one of the oldest too. There are four chambers in the temple complex - garbhagriha and three mandapas (calanta), pancharatna and natamandira ascending from east to west.

Once visited the temple, you will be transferred to the airport or railway station for your return or outbound journey.
