Day 1 Arrival in Mumbai

After reaching Mumbai, you will check-in at the hotel.

Formerly known as Bombay, Mumbai is the financial capital of India. Mumbai, i.e. the capital of Maharashtra, attracts tourists from all over the world due to its multifacetedness. The city is a beautiful paradox of hope and chaos, wealth and poverty, modernity and tradition, and much more. As a lot of people come to Mumbai for realizing their dreams, it is also referred to as the City of Dreams. Here, one can come across highly sophisticated areas like Juhu and Cuffe Parade. Moreover, the city also has Asia’s biggest slum, i.e., Dharavi.

There are no meals provided on this day. The overnight stay is at the hotel in Mumbai.

Day 2 Mumbai

You will have breakfast at the hotel. In Mumbai, you will visit Magen David Synagogue and Tiphereth Israel Synagogue. Then, you will visit Dhobi Ghat, the world’s largest outdoor laundry in Mumbai. Afterward, you will learn about the religious diversity of India through visits to a Hindu temple and Parsi Tower of Silence.

After having lunch at a local restaurant, you will have a walking tour of the village surrounding the Banganga Tank. It is a sacred pool hidden in the luxurious locale of Malabar Hill.

You will enjoy Shabbat services and delicious kosher Indian-Baghdadi dinner with the Jewish community at Knesset Eliyahoo Synagogue.

At last, you will return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3 Mumbai

You will visit Knesset Eliyahoo Synagogue for Shabbat services and kosher Baghdadi feast.

You will have lunch either at a hotel or in a local restaurant.

You may opt for a walking tour of David Sassoon Library and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (formerly known as the Prince of Wales Museum).

You will return to the hotel, where you will have dinner. The overnight stay is in Mumbai.

Day 4 Mumbai

You will depart by ferry to visit the villages along the coast of Mumbai, which are related to Jews. You will also enjoy a tuk-tuk ride, through which you will reach the main monument at Navgaon and Magen Aboth Synagogue.

You will have lunch in a local restaurant.

You will pay a visit to Chabad House, which is also called Nariman House. Then, you will have dinner and return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5 Mumbai - Cochin (By air)

You will be transferred to the airport, from where you will catch a flight to Cochin. Once you reach Cochin, you will check-in at the hotel.

Cochin used to be a home of the flourishing Jewish community but today only 50 (approx.) of them remain.

You will have lunch at a local restaurant in Cochin. Then you will take a walk along Jew Street to the beautiful450-year-old Paradesi Synagogue in Mattancherry. You will also explore the antique shops and spice markets in the nearby area.

Afterward, you will enjoy kosher dinner at the synagogue.

The overnight stay is in Cochin.

Day 6 Cochin

You will visit the 17th-century Chendamangalam Synagogue and museum. Then, you will stop over by Paravur Jewish Synagogue, which dates back to 1616.

You will enjoy lunch overlooking the beach, aboard on a backwater tour of canals in Kerala. Afterward, you will watch a Kathakali dance drama. At last, you will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7 Cochin - Jaipur (By air)

In the morning, you will visit the Kadavumbagam Synagogue in Ernakulam. Then, you will depart for Jaipur by air.

Jaipur is the capital of the most colorful state of India, i.e. Rajasthan. The city has various monuments and religious shrines, depicting the vibrant culture and rich heritage of the country. As in 1876, the city was painted pink in honor of the Prince of Wales, since then it is also known as the Pink City.

You will have lunch either on the flight or at the hotel.

The rest of the day is at leisure.

You will have dinner and an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 8 Jaipur

You will have a full-day tour of Jaipur. Firstly, you will visit Amer Fort. You can ascend the fort either on the elephant’s back or through a jeep. Made up of red sandstone and marble, the fort was built by Raja Man Singh. The fort is divided into 4 sections, each with a courtyard. Surajpol having magnificent architecture is the main entrance gate of the fort. There is a temple dedicated to Goddess Sila Devi near Ganesh Gate. Tourists will also explore Diwan-e-Aam (hall of public audience), Diwan-e-Khas (hall of private audience), Sheesh Mahal (palace of mirrors), and Sukh Niwas in the fort.

You will have lunch in a local restaurant.

You will also visit Maharaja City Palace and Jantar Mantar. Then, you will pass through the pink rose garden as well as the business centers of Jaipur. As the tour of Jaipur is incomplete without shopping, please make sure to buy some souvenirs from the Pink City. Jaipur is famous for carpets, jewelry, handicrafts made of wood and metals, precious and semi-precious stones, clothes, etc.

You will have dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9 Jaipur - Delhi (Driving time approx. 05 hrs)

You will head towards Delhi by road.

In the afternoon, you will visit Old Delhi, where you will visit Raj Ghat. You will also pass through Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.

You will have lunch in a local restaurant.

Then, you will move towards New Delhi, where you will be driven past India Gate, Parliament House, President’s House, and other Government Secretarial Buildings.

Afterward, you will check-in at the hotel. Then, you will walk to Judah Hyam Hall, where you will take part in Shabbat services.

You will return to the hotel, where you will enjoy dinner and stay for a night.

Day 10 Delhi

In the morning, either you can relax in the hotel or you can opt for a visit to Humayun’s Tomb and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib.

You will have lunch in a local restaurant.

Later, you will have free time to enjoy shopping in Delhi.

Gradually, you will return to the hotel for dinner. The overnight stay is scheduled in Delhi.

Day 11 Delhi - Agra (Driving time approx. 04 hrs)

You will depart for Agra by road. Agra is an ancient city located on the banks of River Yamuna in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The city is an integral part of the Golden Triangle, which is the most famous tourist circuit in the country (along with Delhi and Jaipur). The city has served as the capital of various rulers of the Mughal Kingdom. That is why it has numerous monuments portraying the magnificence of Mughal architecture.

You will have lunch at the hotel.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Taj Mahal, which is counted amongst the Seven Wonders of the Word. The giant mausoleum was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Situated on the banks of the River Yamuna, it is an architectural gem. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. All these reasons make the Taj Mahal, the pride of India.

Taj Mahal remains closed on Fridays.

Tourists can enjoy shopping for marble crafts in the bustling markets of Agra.

The dinner will be served at the hotel. The overnight stay is in Agra.

Day 12 Agra - Delhi (Driving time approx. 04 hrs)

You will check-out of the hotel. Before leaving for Delhi, you will visit the Agra Fort. This is another UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 16th-century fort is no less in terms of architectural beauty. Here, tourists will explore Khas Mahal, Jahangir Palace, Diwan-e-Aam, and Diwan-e-Khas.

You will get packed lunch on this day.

Afterward, you will continue moving towards Delhi. You will have dinner at a local restaurant in Delhi.

Then, you will be dropped at the airport, from where you can carry on with the further journey.
