Welcome aboard the Deccan Odyssey.

In the evening, you will assemble at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus to board your train. After completing the formalities and registration protocols, you will receive a traditional Indian welcome.

Enjoy the refreshing drink, while being directed to your designated cabin. As you settle, the Deccan Odyssey will begin its journey from Mumbai to Vadodara.

Welcome to the ever beautiful Vadodara, located on the banks of River Vishwamitri.

After a sumptuous breakfast, disembark the train for a visit to the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the 16th century old Jami Masjid within the complex, which reflects a perfect blend of Indian and Persian architecture. It is believed that this structure served as a model for the mosques built in the country in subsequent times.

For lunch, drive back to the Deccan Odyssey.

After a leisurely lunch, the tour will commence again. On this leg of the Day 2 tour, you will visit the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum. The museum has a large collection of art pieces by some of the important painters of India, including Raja Ravi Varma.

Enjoy the high-tea before heading to the stunning Laxmi Vilas Palace, built in 1890. Interestingly, the palace is still in use by the Royal Family. The huge palace, four times the size of the Buckingham Palace, has an impressive Durbar Hall decorated with Venetian mosaic floor, and other intricate decorations. Apart from that, the palace also has an impressive collection of old armory and sculptures in bronze created by European masters.

Savor some of the local delicacies while enjoying the folk performance.

Come back to Deccan Odyssey for dinner and rest.

Next stop on the journey, Udaipur.

In this morning the Deccan Odyssey arrives at Udaipur.

After a delightful breakfast, you will have the morning at leisure.

Your tour commences post-lunch. The tour starts for the day starts with the resplendent City Palace, which houses the glamorous Crystal Gallery and its stunning complexes. Later, enjoy the boat ride at Lake Pichola.

After a refreshing boat ride, join a walking tour through the ancient portions of the Udaipur city. Explore the stunning bazaars, alleys, and serpentine streets of the old city.

Return to the Deccan Odyssey for a relaxed evening and dinner. The train departs for Jodhpur.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast as the Deccan Odyssey rolls into the warm Marwar region.

You will have the morning at leisure onboard.

Lunch onboard.

After lunch, head out to explore the beautiful city of Jodhpur and its magnificent forts. While touring the city, you get a chance to discover the colorful Marwari culture. Walking through the beautiful Old Clock Tower market, you will cross the ancient havelis and houses of the city. As the tour progresses, you will head towards the Mehrangarh Fort.

The stunning fort is decorated with intricate carving and expansive courtyards, as well as an amazing collection of the palanquins, painting, art, and crafts in its in-house museum.

In the evening, enjoy the delicious Marwar barbeque served at a local diner.

After a fruitful day, touring and sampling the Marwari cuisines, return to Deccan Odyssey for a much-deserved rest.

Well-known for Ranthambore National Park, the Sawai Madhopur is the next stop on the trip.

Start the day with a delightful breakfast platter, and then set out on a memorable village safari. In this tour, you get to experience rustic India in all its glorious colors. In the tour, you will get a chance to visit a local home for an interactive session with a local family.

After a memorable day in the rustic settings of India return to Deccan Odyssey for a comfortable lunch.

Post lunch, get ready to meet the great Indian tigers of Ranthambore. Apart from tigers, the national park is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna including herds of Chital and Sambhar deer, Nilgai antelope, wild boar, and Chinkara gazelles. You might also get a chance to watch the stunning Indian birds like partridges, fowl, the crested serpent eagle, quails, flycatchers, woodpeckers, etc.

To heighten your jungle experience, a special high tea will be organized for you at a local lodge.

Head back to Deccan Odyssey for dinner and overnight stay.

Next stop Agra.

Welcome to the city of the Taj Mahal, one of the highlights of your Indian Sojourn tour. After a restful breakfast onboard, visit the monument of love – the Taj Mahal. One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the glorious monument is visited by more than 7 million people each year.

After a sumptuous lunch at a city hotel, proceed to visit the Itmad-ud-Daulah, tomb of Mizra Ghiyas Beg, built by Empress Nur Jahan in the memory of her father. Next, proceed to Agra Fort. The seat of Mughal rule for three generations, the fort is an important example of Mughal architecture. On the tour, you will get a chance to visit the Diwan-e-Am, 'Hall of Public Audience' and the other Royal Pavilions.

Return to Deccan Odyssey for dinner and rest.

Breakfast would be served onboard, after which you will start your Jaipur tour. The first stop for the day would be Amber Palace overlooking the gorgeous Maota Lake. You will visit the stunning Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors), and the other palatial complexes of the citadel. On the way to Amber Palace, you will have a small detour at Hawa Mahal.

Afterward, visit the famous City Palace, a stunning complex surrounded by royal palaces, and beautifully laid gardens. The palace museum is the home to a rare collection of royal artifacts and manuscripts. Walk pass the Jantar Mantar, one of the largest observatories of India built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh in the 18th century.

Return to Deccan Odyssey for a relaxing evening, followed by dinner and restful sleep onboard.

Last stop of the journey, Delhi.

An early morning breakfast would be served on board. You will disembark at Delhi Cantonment Train Station.

It marks the end of the Royal 8 days/7 night journey through the historical landmarks of India.
