The Golden Triangle circuit comprises of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. The circuit is known by such name as these three cities form a shape of almost an equilateral triangle on the Indian map and is the most popular one in India. This tour package initiates from Delhi, takes you through Jaipur, Agra, Varanasi and gradually ends in Delhi only. Each city has something peculiar about it to please the retired people and moreover, these are some of the most sought-after cities of India.

Delhi, the capital city of India has everything in its possession to delight the retirees. If you are history buff, then the historical monuments will appeal to you. On the other hand, Delhi is brimful of religious sites, which can be the choice of solace seekers. Delhi is also well-suited for nature lovers as it has several gardens. Further, Delhi is divided into two parts - Old Delhi and New Delhi. Old Delhi is profuse with historical influences of the Mughal era while the British architectural styles can be spotted in the areas of New Delhi. The food is another unmatchable aspect of Delhi. In all, you must visit Delhi to get to know the culture of the country.

Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan, the largest city of India. The picture of Rajasthan cannot be perceived without Jaipur. It is the first planned city of the country and is a conglomerate of old and new. The city is mostly known for its majestic forts and magnificent palaces. These royal mansions help you gain insights into the history of the country. Moreover, you can come across the friendly and helping people in the state, which will make you feel nice and comfortable. It is known as the Pink City as the whole city was painted pink in 1856 to welcome the Prince of Wales and it continues to shine in pink until now. One can also visit the temples and monuments in Jaipur in addition to the forts and palaces.

Agra is an ancient city in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is famous all over the world as it houses the pride of India, i.e. Taj Mahal (one of the Seven Wonders of the World). Another striking fact about Agra is that its world-famous monuments, Taj Mahal offers the facility of wheelchairs and ramps for the elderly people, which makes Agra a senior-friendly destination. Besides this, the city has Agra Fort, which is the finest specimen of Mughal architecture. The walled city of Fatehpur Sikri also lies nearby to the city and is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In other words, Agra can be described as a fusion of architecture, history and love. Petha, the dessert of Agra is also quite popular among people and is a must-try thing during a tour to Agra.

Varanasi is the major highlight of this senior citizen special tour. Varanasi is the spiritual capital of India as it is significant for not one or two, but three religions followed in the country, namely Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism. In the words of Mark Twain, the city has been described as “Older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend, and looks twice as old as all of them put together”. The city has withstood the ravages of time and holds a significant place in the history of the country. It is often believed that the one who visits this city, gets liberated from the cycle of incarnation. Since the city is chock full of religious sites of different faiths, it is befitting enough for the old people.

Plan a trip for your old parents right now and let them have a memorable experience in India.
