Day 01 Amritsar Arrival

On your arrival at Amritsar, our representatives will guide you to your pre booked hotel. After completing the check in process, go for a walk around the nearby markets. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Amritsar.

Day 02 Amritsar

Today get ready to visit a city, which fascinates people all over the world. Home to the Golden Temple and Amritsari kulchas, the city will be an excellent start to your Punjab expedition. Your breakfast when in Amritsar will include a sumptuous serving of delicious Amritsari Kulchas, a bread stuffed with potatoes or cottage cheese and baked into a golden crisp. Served along with chole and spiced up chutney, this dish will leave you craving for more. After enjoying our hearty and sumptuous breakfast, we will head over to the Golden Temple. This Gurudwara is one of the most stunning works of architecture, which you will ever lay your eyes upon. Now, for lunch you can enjoy the iconic Langar at the Golden Temple. This is where the largest community kitchen in the world is housed. Open 24x7, the Langar feeds over eighty thousand people every single day free of charge. The experience is nothing short of magical on every step of the way, as you get to your place in the great hall to tasting the deliciously cooked meals of the Langar. In the end, you will be served the Karah Prashad, a semolina halwa that is deliciously rich in ghee and tastes absolutely sensational. Next, head over to Jallianwala Bagh, which is the site of the 1919 Amritsar Massacre. On these grounds, the British opened fire over an unarmed gathering of people, which included children. After the long afternoon, go for a refreshing lassi, yet another Amritsari favourite. The lassis, which you will enjoy in Amritsar, are extraordinarily creamy and thick, with one of the most surreal flavours, which could be found in a glass of lassi. Walk around the streets of Amritsar and explore the city by yourself. As night falls, move for dinner. Enjoy a platter of delicious Makki di Roti and Sarson da Saag, which is a popular winter specialty served with ghee soaked saag and wholesome corn-flour rotis. Day 03 Amritsar – Jalandhar

This morning, check out from your hotel to start your trip to Jalandhar. This city was named after a Demon King who is mentioned in the Indian epics, Puranas and the Mahabharata. Upon arrival at Jalandar, check in to your hotel and fresh up a little to grab a quick meal. Your brunch before you get your sightseeing tour started will include Chole Puri and Pinni, which is one of the best Punjabi delicacies to sink your teeth into. This staple Punjabi breakfast consists of puris fired in pure ghee and served along with chole and a tangy potato curry. Delicious! After filling your tummies, you can first visit the Tomb of Mohammad Momin and Haji Jamal, a marvelous architectural masterpiece. Built in the seventeenth century, these beautiful Mughal-era tombs of the two court musicians are a magnificent sight to behold. Next, you can head over to Dakhni Sarai, a seventeenth century establishment built by Mughal nobleman Ali Mardan Khan. Geometric gardens, a large gateway and a half domed mosque and glimpses of the spectacular feats of architecture, which this complex beholds. For your lunch enjoy some Mah ki Dal along with lachcha paratha or butter naan. Along with your meal, you may also go for Ghee roasted chicken, a delicacy that any meat eater would love to tear into. Then, head over to Shiv Mandir, another architectural wonder. You will witness a fascinating amalgamation of Hindu and Islamic architecture on a single establishment. For snacks, you can enjoy a platter of fish tikkas. These delectable pieces of fish tikka are made from the freshest of fish and tastes surreal. For dinner, you can have Butter Chicken along with rice or naan. We finish off the meal with a classic Punjabi dessert, Kulfa, a delectable and refreshing ending to cleanse the palette after a sumptuous meal. Day 04 Jalandhar – Ludhiana

This morning after having a buffet breakfast at your hotel, get ready for a road journey to Ludhiana. An ancient city, Ludhiana was founded in the fifteenth century by the Lodi Sultans and is known as Punjab’s manufacturing hub. Several of India’s leading business houses have their roots in Ludhiana. Once you are in the city, check in to your hotel and fresh up a little. You can stroll around the nearby market area. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay. Day 05 Ludhiana

This morning, when in Ludhiana your first task can be searching a hearty Punjabi breakfast. After enjoying this sumptuous breakfast, you can head over to clock tower, which is also popularly known as Ghanta Ghar. It is an icon of the Ludhiana metropolitan and was inaugurated in the year 1906. You can then visit Maharaja Ranjit Singh War Museum, one of the finest museums in Ludhiana, which consists of an eclectic collection of weapons, armor and uniform from historic battles. After touring the museum, head over for lunch. You can have a sumptuous platter of Tandoori Chicken. For the main meal, feast upon Dhaba Dal along with soft and flavoursome kulchchas. If you are looking to have a hard core Punjabi meal then you can start with Mutton Chaap, a handsome slice of Mutton slow cooked to perfection which is then shallow fried, spiced and consists of a tangy twist in flavor. Day 06 Ludhiana – Patiala

Welcome to Patiala! The city is the fourth largest in Punjab and is a culturally rich and vibrant hotspot. The streets of Patiala are laden with examples of heritage, history and tradition. Before we set out to explore the city, times to pack in a hearty breakfast to keep us energized for the day ahead. Feast on some Sarson ka Saag, one of the most popular dishes in Punjab. Clubbed with Makki ki roti and you’re all set for a classic Punjabi meal! The you can head over to Shri Kali Devi Mandir, which had been built by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh in the year 1936. The Temple is dedicated to Man Kaali. Legend has that the Maharaja got the Temple built in order to protect the city from floods and performed annual sacrifices in order to please Goddess Kaali. Then, you can visit the Bahadurgarh Fort, which had been constructed by Mughal Nawab Saif Khan in 1657. The fort took eight years to be constructed and a sum of ten lakh rupees was spent in order to build it. For lunch, you can savor Dal, Jeera Rice along with Chicken Tikka. Day 08 Anandpur Sahib

Later, you can visit Guru Tegh Bahadur Museum, which is one of the finest museums in the city. Later on, head over to Anandpur Sahib Fort. The town once used to be fortified by five exquisite forts. Day 09 Anandpur Sahib – Chandigarh

Day 10 Chandigarh – Depart

This morning for breakfast, enjoy authentic Punjabi food that includes Gobi Paranthas along with mango pickles and curd. After exploring the garden, feast on Punjabi Kadhi along with jeera rice or naan and finish the lunch with a delicious lassi.
