Delhi still has all the remnants of the rule of the Mughals and the Delhi Sultanate with their architecture and forts leaving an indelible mark in the heart of the capital of India. Day 01 Arrive in Delhi

Your journey will begin in Delhi, where you will arrive at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. After resting at your hotel, you can view some of the must-see sites that the city has on offer, like Qutub Minar and then drive past the iconic landmarks – India Gate, Red Fort and Parliament House. In Old Delhi, you can first visit Jama Masjid and then begin your shopping at Chandni Chowk.

Day 02 Delhi to Agra

Following your day in Delhi, proceed to Agra where you will see a Wonder of the World, a symbol of incredible love and the tragedy of loss in Taj Mahal. Near Taj Mahal lies Agra Fort. After building Taj Mahal for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, when Shah Jahan was later imprisoned by his son in Agra Fort, he used to spend his days looking out on the incredible monument he had built in memory of his beloved.

Day 03 Agra to Dholpur

Following your day in Agra, you travel to Dholpur the next morning. Here you can spend the day in leisure taking in the natural beauty.

Day 04 Dholpur

The next day you’ll have the entire day to take in the beauty of the sites at Dholpur. You get to see the wilderness of Chambal, both by the one hour boat ride and then by ravine safari for 4-5 hours to see the rich flora and fauna.

Day 05 Dholpur to Gwalior via Bateshwar, Mitawli, and Padawli

The following day you will travel to Gwalior, but on the way you will be able to see three amazing locations. The Bateshwar temples, Mitawli temple and Padawli fortress each have their own unique heritage attached to them. While Padawli has a fortress which is devoted to Lord Shiva, Mitawli is home to the Chausath Yogini Temple, which is quite famous. Bateshwar, on the other hand, is home to 200+ temples all together in a clump uniquely made out of Sandstone. Stay overnight at Gwalior.

Day 06 Gwalior

The sixth day of your Central India Holiday package will be spent on your city tour of Gwalior. Gwalior is home to several wonders, including the tomb of Ghaus Muhammad, the Muslim saint who helped Babur, tomb of Tansen, the musical genius and one of the most renowned gems from the court of Akbar as well as the Jai Vilas Palace which was the residence of the Maratha Dynasty, can be found here. You will be visiting these places in the morning and then head towards the majestic Gwalior Fort, Man Singh Palace, Teli ka Mandir and Saahastra Bahu temple in the afternoon for an even deeper insight into Gwalior’s history and culture.

Day 07 Gwalior to Chanderi via Sonagir and Datia

While travelling from Gwalior to Chanderi the next day, you will be able to visit the Jain temple of Sonagir and Datia Palace, before finally arriving at Chanderi and transferring to the hotel.

Day 08 Chanderi

After resting the night in Chanderi, in the morning after breakfast, you can spend your time making sure to visit Chanderi Fort, Jama Masjid, Bada Mahal Gate and Battisi Baoli. In the afternoon after lunch, you can travel to nearby Pranpur village known for its handloom, where some of the best weavers do their work. You can interact with them while watching the magic of looming unfold before your eyes.

Day 09 Chanderi to Orchha

Once you travel to Orchha after resting, you can visit some of the more beautiful attractions here. Jahangir Mahal was built by Vir Singh Deo in honour of Jahangir when he came to visit. Here, you can also visit Raja Mahal and Chaturbhuj temple and enjoy a beautiful sunset at the latter.

Day 10 Orchha to Khajuraho via Dhubela

The next day, on your way from Orchha to Khajuraho make sure to visit Dhubela. Dhubela is famous, as it was also the place of birth of the second queen of Peshwa Bajirao, Mastani Bai. Visit the Dhubela Museum to find out more about the reign of King Chhatrasal, Mastani’s father, before you reach Khajuraho and check in for the night.

Day 11 Khajuraho

The next day, you will visit the Khajuraho temples. These temples are famous all over the world, and their value has been recognised by UNESCO, as they are a World Heritage Site now. Their architecture style is known as Nagara and their varied scriptures, including an extensive display of exquisite erotic sculpture, make this an incredible site to explore. Here you can also enjoy the Ranhe Waterfalls, and spend a leisurely evening.

Day 12 Khajuraho to Jabalpur

On the next morning to go to Jabalpur and after checking in, take in the majesty of the Dhuandar Waterfall at its full might. Here you can also enjoy a boat ride on the Narmada, and see the marvellous 100 feet tall Marble Rocks of Bhedaghat. Later in the evening, witness the grandeur of the Aarti on the Gauri Ghat. Stay overnight at Khajuraho.

Day 13 Jabalpur to Bhopal via Sanchi Stupa and Udaygiri Caves

Next morning, your ride to the capital of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal will wait for you right after you are done with breakfast. On the way to Bhopal, see two MP attractions of great importance. First, visit the Udaygiri Caves, which can be considered as the oldest surviving remnants of the past given its origin can be traced back to 5th century BCE. Your next stop is the famous Buddhist complex, Sanchi Stupa. The age-old white dome of Sanchi Stupa is of utmost significance to the Buddhist community of India. Then reach Bhopal around afternoon and check in at your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 14 Bhopal (Bhimbetka and Bhojpur Temple)

Today, drive to Bhojpur Temple to witness one of the largest Shiva lingams known to man. The lingam here is carved out of a single rock into a 5.5m (18ft) tall structure with 2.3m (7.5ft) circumference. In Bhimbetka, you will find caves and cave paintings from as early as the Palaeolithic and Mesolithic periods. These caves are said to be the earliest traces of mankind in Indian Subcontinent with evidence of Stone Age starting at around Acheulian times.

Day 15 Bhopal to Delhi and departure

On the last day, visit some more places around Bhopal before you have to get back to Delhi for your flight back home. See Taj-Ul-Masjid, Gohar Mahal and Saukat Mahal and then take your ride to Bhopal railway station to catch your train to Delhi. Our operator will meet you at Delhi railway station and transfer you to Delhi airport to board your flight for onward journey.
