Day 01 Greet Namaste to Delhi!

On your arrival in Delhi, you will be welcomed and escorted to the hotel by our representative. One might ponder, what is there to see in Delhi which is called the ‘city of cities’? To that, you will get the reply “what is there not to see!” And indeed it is true. The winding lanes of Old Delhi are steeped in history with each crack and crevice hiding some era, some time in its folds. From Dehli to Dilli to Delhi, this city has survived the ravages of time which is worth exploring, for you might find an enigma in some forgotten corner. Your tour of Delhi will start from the start, from Purani (Old) Delhi. Old Delhi was founded as the city of Shahjahanabad by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1639 followed by a visit to Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. This visit includes the exploration of the Museum nearby delving more into the history of Mahatma Gandhi and more. A trip to Delhi isn’t complete without a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, a very popular and a busy market in Old Delhi to the next stop which is Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India built by Shah Jahan. Afternoon brings more tourist attractions to our foray, like a visit to the Qutub Minar which is of a whopping height and known as one of the tallest minarets. It was built in 1192 by Turk ruler Qutub-Ud-Din Aibak.

Further, you will explore the next beautiful monument, Humayun’s Tomb, which is the entombed grave of Emperor Humayun. Evening brings a visit to India Gate, which was built in memory of the soldiers who were martyred and remembered for their honor. A drive around Delhi will bring forth the views of Government Secretariat buildings like the Parliament House and more, ending your tour of Delhi with a visit to Lakshminarayan Temple, a temple built for Goddess Laxmi and Lord Narayana. Conclude your day with an overnight in Delhi.

Day 02 Jaisalmer Bound!

The second day of the tour brings forth exploration of places in Delhi like Chandni Chowk market which was established by Shah Jahan. Chandi Chowk is rich in all things exotic and captures the basic essence of Delhi like spices, clothes, food, etc. With Delhi’s attractions done and dusted, the checkout will take place at 1200 hours followed by transfer to rail-station for Jaisalmer night train. Overnight is on board the train.

Day 03 Jaisalmer welcomes you.

Noon time will mark your arrival in Jaisalmer followed by transfer to your hotel comfortably. The afternoon is free for visiting the interesting bazaars, or you could take an excursion into the desert and enjoy a camel safari. Situated in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan, Jaisalmer is a colorful treasure chest of art, music, architecture, culture, and tradition which is sure to intrigue you. Lose yourself in the sandy land of this cultural abundance and visit the beautiful havelis, Jain Temples, camel safaris and more. If you want to feel the essence of Rajasthan, camp in the desert lands and enjoy the sands of time ticking away in peace. Overnight is in Jaisalmer.

Day 04 Exploring Jaisalmer and beyond.

The morning will bring the start of your day of exploring Jaisalmer and its attractions. The first destination will be Jaisalmer Fort or “Sonar Quila” called so because of the golden appearance due to the stones used in its construction. Jaisalmer Fort is known to be one of the oldest (and perhaps only) ‘living forts’ in the world as people still reside in it. Jaisalmer Fort is a perfect blend of the 12th century architecture and military design. Inside the confines of Jaisalmer Fort, you will come across Tazia Tower which depicts the craftsmanship of the ancient period. Continuing the tour, we will visit famous havelis, first one being Salim Ji Ki Haveli which is 300-year old Haveli named after its owner Salim Singh Mahto. Other haveli visits include of the Patwon Ki Haveli which is a cluster of 5 small havelis constructed in 1805 by Guman Chand Patwa. Check-out time from the hotel is 1200 hrs. The afternoon is at leisure to visit the bazaars or the numerous Jain Temples. Late evening you will be transferred to the railway station for Jodhpur night train. Overnight is on board the train.

Day 05 Jodhpur Bound

5th day of the tour will mark the arrival in Jodhpur, known as the ‘Gateway to Thar’ and the second largest city in Rajasthan. This ‘Blue City’ will enthrall you with its cultural abundance. The former capital of Marwar Kingdom, Jodhpur will wind you along its winding lanes. A known place for movie shootings and more, a visit to Jodhpur will fill you with a cultural outburst, especially when you will visit Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest 15th-century forts in the country which is also a museum and preserves art.

Further Rajasthan Tour by Train will take you to the next attraction called Moti Mahal, which was built by Raja Sur Singh and is known as the ‘Pearl Palace.’ The tour will continue the visit to Phool Mahal, or Palace of Flowers, another majestic palace built by Maharaja Abhaya Singh, and believed to be an exclusive and private chamber of pleasure. Other destinations to be visited will include Jaswant Thada, a structure made out of thin sheets of marble, Umaid Public Gardens and Museum followed by a visit to the Government Museum. Conclude the day by an overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 06 Jodhpur to Ranakpur to Udaipur by road

Next day will bring a drive to Ranakpur Temples which are 98 kms from Udaipur. Jain Temples of Ranakpur are famous for their 15th-century architecture 1444 pillars and 20 halls. If time is of grace then a visit to Surya temple and Jaina Temple. The visit to Ranakpur will be followed by the drive to Udaipur which is known as the Venice of the East and was the capital of Mewar Kingdom. This stay at Udaipur will be complete after a stay at the Lake Palace Hotel which is in the middle of a lake, and a dream come true. Overnight in Udaipur is to be followed.

Highlights: Visit Ranakpur Temples.

Day 07 Udaipur Tour

Tour in the city of Udaipur will start in the morning with a visit to the City Palace situated on the banks of Lake Pichola. Lose yourself in the beautiful architecture which was constructed by Maharana Udai Mirza Singh in 1559 A.D. Further; your next visit is to the Fatehsagar Lake built in 1678 by Maharana Fateh Singh followed by Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir located near the Chetak Circle which is a renowned museum in Udaipur. Conclude your exploration with a visit to Sahelion Ki Bari which means a resort for Queen’s friends and a visit to various colorful bazaars. The day will end with an overnight stay at Udaipur.

Highlights: Udaipur - Visit the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir, Sahelion ki Bari & drive around Fatehsagar Lake.

Day 08 Udaipur to Jaipur by overnight train.

Spend your 8th day of the tour in leisure, exploring rest of Udaipur. Checkout time is at 1200 hours. An optional visit to Chittorgarh is feasible. The next visit to Vijay Stambh or the tower of victory built in 1440 by Maharaja Kumbha to mark the victory over Muslim rulers of Gujarat and Malwa. Another destination is the Kirti Stambh, the tower of fame which is carved with Jaina sculptures. Immerse yourself in more such historical destinations. The evening will bring about transfer to the railway station which is Jaipur bound followed by overnight in the train.

Day 09 Jaipur arrival!

Your arrival in Jaipur will be scheduled in the morning. Jaipur is known as the ‘Pink City’ due to the pink paint on all houses. It is a 260-year old city built by Maharaja Jai Singh hence the name ‘Jaipur.’ Lose yourself in the cultural ethnicity of the capital of Rajasthan which reeks from every corner of Jaipur. Full day tour if this city will commence. The first destination is Amer Fort or Amer Palace which was the former capital of Jaipur and was built by Raja Man Singh in red sandstone. Next destination to enthrall you is Maharaja City Palace, a royal palace with seven stories as well as Jantar Mantar, the observatory. Hawa Mahal, the next destination will awe you with its magnificent architecture for which it is world-renowned. Pink rose gardens and business centers of Jaipur will be touched upon in this Rajasthan Tour by Train. Just like any other culturally rich city, the essence of Jaipur lies not only in its history but in its age-old markets, which shed light on the basic traditions of a city and its heritage. Jaipur markets are renowned for its clothes, handicrafts and especially silver jewellery. Conclude the day with overnight in Jaipur.

Day 10 Explore Jaipur

Entire 10th day of your Rajasthan Tour by Train package is free for your explorations, and you can immerse yourself in the attractions of Jaipur and nearby places like Galtaji and Sanganer. Galtaji has several sacred temples in its foray which can be visited. Galtaji is dotted with several sacred water tanks called Kunds of which the Galta Kund is the most famous where people come every year during the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Sanganer is known for its textile printing and Jaina temples, which can be enjoyed and explored. Conclude the day with an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11 Agra bound

Early Morning time will bring a transfer to the railway station for your Agra train. Arrival in Agra will be followed by transfer to your hotel. Agra is a city on the banks of the river Yamuna and forms the Golden Triangle Tourist circuit along with Delhi and Jaipur. It was previously named Akbarabad during Mughal reigns of Akbar, Jahangir, and Shahjahan. Agra attracts thousands of visitors every year because it houses the Taj Mahal, 8th wonder of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife and Empress Mumtaz Mahal and holds a perfect example of love. A tour around Taj Mahal will ensue. Other places to be explored include Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Khas Mahal and Jahangir Palace. Afternoon time will take you to the rich markets of Agra where marble-work and spices are famous, followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12 Explore Agra and Delhi by train

A free day at leisure for exploring Agra is given where you can visit nearby places. Checkout from Agra will be at 1200 hours. A visit to visit Sikandra or Dayal Bagh Mandir can be planned. The Sikandra houses the entombed remains of Emperor Akbar which was completed by Jahangir. Near that, you can also visit the tomb of Mariam-uz-Zamani, the wife of Akbar. The evening will mark your transfer to the railway station for your train to Delhi. Upon reaching Delhi, you will be transferred to your hotel followed by an overnight stay.

Day 13 Departure

Last day of your Rajasthan Tour by Train package can be spent by exploring the rest of Delhi shopping or making more visits. Check out from your hotel will be at 1200 hours. The rest of your time can be bided at Akshardham Temple which is one of the world's largest temple complexes and built from Rajasthani pink sandstone and Italian marble. It is known for showcasing the idols of various Gods and Saints along with the 10,000 years of Indian history through a boat ride. Indulge yourself in the rich Indian culture and bid adieu to your last few hours in Delhi. You will be transferred to the airport in the evening for your flight home which will mark an end to your Rajasthan Tour by Train package!
