A night in chobari

During this pandemic Covid-19, my family and I decided to step out of the house and take a road trip to a place that is safe and secure from the virus of Covid-19. We decided to spend a night in the beautiful and untouched rural village of Chobari, Gujarat. Well before you all start packing your bags, I just would like to tell you that Gujarat is a dry and vegetarian state. So be very careful or else you might have to pay a heavy fine while crossing state borders. The drive from Delhi to Gujarat is beautiful and smooth, but pretty long. So we decided to take a break in the journey and spend a night in Udaipur. Check out my other blog on ‘things to do in and around Udaipur’ for more details on the same. To reach Chobari, one does not really cross any major city in Gujarat. We stayed in one of the local person’s property as he ensured proper cleanliness and safety due to Covid-19 protocols. Meriya Nature Zone, the place we stayed at is located in the midst of a lush 9 acres of land. The nature zone has about 10 tents and 5 brick-walled cottages. The drive to the cottages is very beautiful and scenic, although it is not meant for faint-hearted people as the path to the village is very narrow, only one car at a time can pass and there is water about 4 feet deep on both sides of the path. The mini Rann is about 02 hours drive from this place. Check out my other blog on ‘A night in Rann’ for more details on the same. If you love nature and would like to experience life in a rural area, then I recommended you all to stay here or in one of the places like this. One can witness the beautiful sunrise right from the doorstep or sleep under the stars. If you are a nature or bird photographer and would like to increase your photo collection, this place is a paradise for you. One can witness millions of stars, make a portrait of the galaxy or click solos of the beautiful birds like Kingfisher, Flamengo, Demoiselle Cranes, Red-vented Bulbul, White Cheeked Bulbul, Silverbil Munia, Indian Robin, Egret, Warbler, Jungle babbler, Common babbler and many more. One can even witness wildlife like Deer, Nilgai, Desert Fox, Jackal, and many more. The memorable part of this trip was that we were away from the bustle of life, away from the monotony of having to wear a mask and carry sanitizers, away from the stress of being infected from Covid-19 or the need to take precautions at every step of the journey.
