5 must have delicious food of himachal pradesh

While you are in India, you will feel fully satisfied as you will get to try the various cuisines and dishes from all parts of the county. People visit different cities of India to try the traditional food that reflects the culture and tradition of the country. In Himachal Pradesh, you will be surprised by the variety of dishes and their unmatchable taste. Not only Snow-covered mountains, lush green surroundings, and a peaceful environment, Himachali Cuisine is also a prominent reason to visit Himachal Pradesh. Whenever you travel to Himachal, try these lip-smacking traditional foods from cafes, restaurants, and various road vendors.

1.Siddu

Siddu is a traditional and very famous authentic dish of Himachal Pradesh made with wheat flour. It takes a lot of time and great effort to make this dish but every minute of the preparation is worth it as its taste is really exquisite and a feast to the taste buds. The wheat flour is kept at least for 4- 5 hours and later stuffed with fat and cooked on the flame to get half cooked flavor. The local people believe that when the dough is half cooked and steamed, its nutrition stays intact. Siddu is available easily in various restaurants and cafes of Himachal Pradesh but mainly is a very famous dish of  Kullu.

2. Madra

Madra is also known as Chana Madra is a renowned Himachali dish that originates from the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh and is served with love at every restaurant. The soaked chickpeas are prepared in oil with numerous spices such as turmeric powder, coriander powder, cloves, cinnamon to enhance the taste of the meal. To grab the best taste and know the food culture of this state, everyone should try this dish.

3. Bhey

Bhey are the lotus stems made with spicy flavors that are cooked in almost every restaurant and household of Himachal Pradesh because the local people love this dish so much and now tourists are also enjoying its unique taste. The stems are cut thinly and made with onion, garlic, and ginger with flour. Whenever you visit Himachal, you will get a chance to taste this dish.

4. Thukpa

Tibetan food is very popular in Himachal Pradesh and Thukpa is a traditional Tibetan dish that is a mixture of both Tibetan and local cuisine. It is a mouth-watering vegetable noodle soup that also contains chicken and other healthy nutrients. You can find Thukpa in Darjeeling and Ladakh region.

Tudkiya Bhath

Tudkiya Bhath is one of my favorite dishes to try in Himachal Pradesh because the Pahadi people (Local people) make this dish in their own way that makes it yummier. Indian spices are used to make the dish but also onions, lentils, cinnamon, and potatoes are used to make it very tasteful. I loved Tudkiya Bhath and I had this every day during my trip to Chamba. You can add lemon juice to experience its best taste.

So, whenever you plan your upcoming trip to this incredible state, try these different types of Himachal Pradesh Cuisines.
